July 2023 - Lualemba Bungalow Resort - Nemberala Rote Island - Newsletter

Hi Guys and Gals

July 2023 the waves turned on in Nemberala Rote with a dramatic change in size and consistency at Tland Sukies and Boa compared to earlier in the season. This kept surfers more than happy and their surf Indo dreams coming true.

With no surprise I’ve been working around Lualemba Bungalows making it a better place. The gardens are looking spectacular and the new roofing system is taking place making the inside cleaner and comfortable for guests.

Sailing out to Ndana Island on Te Aila has been a popular this year exclusively for Lualemba Bungalow guests and looking at the photos you can see why. Having waves like this to yourself in Indo is what surfers dream of, that’s why Lualemba Bungalows is “ more than a just a place to stay”.

Lualemba Bungalows has the best gardens in Nemberala Rote

The many paths leading around the beautiful gardens to guests bungalows.

Everyone working at Lualemba Bungalows making a better place.

In the kitchen cooking delicious banquet dinners, watering and looking after the natural pool, caring for the gardens, improving the comforts of the bungalows and running guests to and from the popular surf breaks. Staff are kept busy. The bungalows are slowly being transformed with a very durable pvca roofing inner to the natural coconut leaf on top keeping that cool traditional look. This helps keep the inside of the bungalow rooms cleaner, brighter and cooler. We think guests will notice a huge difference.

The ever so popular sailing trip to Ndana Island

Most guests have never experienced an adventure on a yacht, so how cool is it to be included with surfing the outer islands. Not only is it cool to do but cool from the tropical sun with plenty of room to move about while under way, taking some lunch and a cool box full of icy cold drinks. Guests from other resorts around Nemberala approach me for this wonderful adventure but unfortunately this is only available to Lualemba guests. Plus we know when the waves are happening there too.

Tland was firing during July with consistent sets and back to back swells.

Lualemba Guests were stoked with the waves they were getting and the biggest swells of the season. The energy was high and everyone had a smile on their dial.

Thanks Dani Tatts for the photos and be sure to check him out near the phone tower when in Nemberala.

Still plenty of season 2023 left and we would love you to come and stay.

September and October, even November there are still plenty of waves to be had around Rote and it’s outer islands. The winds are variable with a lot of choices to mix up your surfing locations that people don’t get to surf during other parts of the season.
