March 2023 - Lualemba Bungalow Resort - Nemberala Rote Island - Newsletter

Surprisingly the wet season seemed to be finishing early this month with the second week having slight easterly winds and swells reaching well over head high on a couple of occasions. Some early season guests scored well and even a couple of sail trips to Dana island snorkeling and have fun in the tropical sun. Enjoy this months newsletter and hopefully it inspires you to come later into the season.

March was a great month for exploring Rote island

Where ever you went there was little wind and the beauty of Rote was stunning every where. Our guests Travis and son Cooper enjoyed snorkeling, getting out and about on motor bikes as well as the wonderful sunsets on the beach in the evenings.

Te Aila is back in action with adventures to the outer islands.

A couple of trips to Dana Island during March with good safe snorkeling inside the reef, hanging out with the military guys and an inner island trip to the lake plus a few lefts to enjoy. All part of the adventure on Te Aila with a lovely sail back at the end of the day.

Air Terjun Oefamba

Exploring the waterfalls at Oefamba was a day trip Guests took as a break from the waves. Another tropical paradise that can be enjoyed in Rote.

There were a lot of fun days at Tland and Boa.

Usually I don’t recommend March as a good month for waves as the wet season can still be hanging around with onshore winds and torrential rain. This year it seemed like the wet season finished early and some days the swells were well over head high with gentle off shore winds. What more could a frother ask for.

Lualemba Bungalows are waiting for you for season 2023

This is how our bungalows look at dawn when you are leaving for an early wave. So say it’s the most beautiful place to stay in Rote at a reasonable price including boat trips to Tland surf break with that little extra boat service to guests. 3 awesome meals a day made by the girls fit for a king.
